There are many records available that will assist you in "fleshing out" your family history. Of particular interest is searching Probate records.  This might interest you because you are researching your family history or you are interested in how your family assets have been distributed by relatives over the years.

Wills and Probates not only detail the property and possessions held by family members but can also give interesting clues about family relationships and friendships.

A Will can be a very personal and enlightening document and is especially useful for family history as it will often identify daughters by their married names which might otherwise be hard to establish.

The probate search will let you know if a Will of a family member was administered in NSW.  If it was, we may also be able to obtain a copy of the probated Will and/or Letters of Administration.
